Job Description

Category Schools - Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students across a district as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. This contract position offers an immediate start and involves working with 29 EC-12 students, providing specialized instruction and advocacy to help each learner reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
Certified to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) students Experience or comfort supporting EC-12 grade levels Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) strongly preferred Skilled in developing and adapting instructional strategies for diverse student needs Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and families
Your Role:
Provide direct instruction and support for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to optimize accessibility and engagement Offer resources and training to staff and families to foster inclusive educational environments Travel between school sites to serve students throughout the district Track and report on student progress, maintaining detailed, timely documentation What to
