Job Description

Category Schools - Educational Diagnostician Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Educational Diagnostician to provide expert support for a bustling middle school caseload, with potential involvement in a high school split assignment. This full-time contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through direct, onsite work throughout the school year, extending until early June 2027. As a vital contributor, you will manage 100-120 active students, overseeing initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and collaborating closely with instructional staff to promote student success.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Valid Texas Educator Certificate. Educational Diagnostician certification granted by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC). Master's degree from an accredited program. At least three years of creditable teaching experience in educational settings. Demonstrated expertise in student assessment, special education processes, and eligibility assessments. Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills. Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and re-evaluations to identify learning needs. Prepare and interpret formal reports, presenting evaluation findings to parents, teachers, and other educational professionals. Support and facilitate Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, ensuring compliance with federal and state special education laws. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff on interventions, educational planning, and accommodations. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student records, data, and services delivered.
