Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Empower students with visual impairments to thrive in their educational journey by bringing your expertise to a dynamic role supporting local schools. This full-time, onsite contract position offers you the opportunity to collaborate with a passionate team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI). The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, allowing you to provide ongoing support and continuity. You'll work in a floating capacity, partnering with students and staff across multiple campuses. Caseload details are yet to be determined, offering flexibility and the chance to adapt your skills to different learning environments. There are two positions available, creating avenues for teamwork and professional engagement.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Strong background in delivering specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments Ability to travel between school sites as part of a floating assignment Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff Experience in creating and adapting individualized educational materials for diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide collaboration and training for educational staff regarding best practices and accommodations Adapt materials and foster accessible learning environments Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven recommendations for instruction
