Job Description

Make a positive impact on students' lives by bringing your expertise to a self-contained classroom, supporting learners with diverse needs. This full-time, onsite opportunity focuses on delivering individualized instruction to students with learning disabilities (LD), severe autism (AU), and those requiring higher levels of support. Youll be part of a collaborative educational environment near Huntington, TX, committed to providing exceptional special education services.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Texas Special Education (SPED) teaching license Demonstrated experience working with students who have LD, severe AU, and high-needs support requirements Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and administrators Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet a variety of learning styles and needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the specific strengths and needs of each student in the classroom Differentiate instruction and classroom management for a mixed group of students Deliver direct instruction in core subjects and functional skills Employ evidence-based strategies to facilitate engagement and progress for learners with a range of abilities Communicate regularly with related service providers and families to monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed Maintain accurate records in compliance with all state and federal guidelines Foster a safe, inclusive environment where every student can flourish Benefits include weekly competitive pay, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options, and access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
