What We're Looking For:

Active certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (state credentials required) Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, in mainstream or specialized classroom settings Strong understanding of deaf education best practices, including direct instruction, language development, and assistive technology Ability to develop and adapt instructional materials based on individual student needs Proficiency in sign language (ASL or other as appropriate), and effective communication skills with students, families, and colleagues Flexible, collaborative approach with a passion for inclusive education

Your Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to students with hearing impairments, individually and in small groups Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create accessible learning environments Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, progress monitoring, and data-driven instruction Advocate for students' needs and facilitate their inclusion in the educational community Support families with resources, strategies, and guidance for student success Promote awareness and understanding of hearing impairments among school staff and peers This role allows you to use your specialized expertise, work closely with a diverse team, and see the real difference you make in students' lives.
