Category Schools - Educational Diagnostician Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success as an Educational Diagnostician in an engaging middle school setting. This full-time role begins as soon as possible and extends through early June 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on learners needing academic assessments and guidance. You'll be based onsite, serving a caseload of 100-120 students, which includes conducting evaluations and re-evaluations. There is also a possibility of supporting a high school caseload, potentially split between two schools.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Texas Educator Certificate is required Educational Diagnostician certification issued by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) Master's degree in a related field At least three years of creditable classroom teaching experience Strong knowledge of assessment tools, IEP development, and compliance processes Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Position Responsibilities:
Administer comprehensive educational assessments and interpret data for eligibility determinations Support the development, implementation, and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to ensure student needs are met Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and offer expertise in student evaluation and program planning Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all relevant policies and timelines This opportunity offers a dynamic and supportive environment where you can refine your skills, grow professionally, and play a vital role in student development.
