Job Description

George Washington Academy is looking to hire a Full-Time Special Education Teacher for one of our mild/moderate classes for the 2026-2027 school year. Join our team and work for a school with high standards and an exceptional track record for providing high-quality education! The Special Education Teacher is responsible for the creation, implementation, and revision of Individualized Education Plans for each assigned student. This includes the development of IEP goals, collecting data/evidence of goal progression, and recommending necessary changes. As determined by the IEP, the Special Education Teacher may be responsible for providing specialized instruction in the core subjects in a self-contained, pull-out setting, and/or supporting the teaching of these subjects in the Regular Ed classroom. Applicants must have a current Utah teaching license with a Special Education endorsement. Applicants will need to provide a resume and 3 letters of recommendation.
