Job Description

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction for children and young adults with behavioral and learning challenges. In this on-site role, you will design and implement IEPs, deliver evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions, and collect data to monitor progress. You will collaborate closely with therapists, behavior analysts, and families in a compassionate, mission-driven environment that values diversity, professional growth, and ethical, student-centered care. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while building expertise in specialized education and behavioral health. $2,500 sign-on bonus available. Responsibilities Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with families and school partners. Use evidence-based behavioral and instructional strategies to support student progress. Collect and analyze student data to adjust instruction and document outcomes. Collaborate with therapists, behavior analysts, and other team members on integrated plans. Communicate regularly with families and district partners regarding student progress. Maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven culture. Required Skills Special education instruction IEP development and implementation Behavior management strategies Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) familiarity Differentiated instruction Classroom data collection Progress monitoring and reporting Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Parent and caregiver communication Knowledge of IDEA and special education law
