Job Description
Bring your passion and expertise to a dynamic elementary environment serving 3rd grade students with diverse learning needs. As a Special Education Teacher in this supportive school community, you'll be working on a contract basis from August 24 through May 28. Enjoy collaborating with a team dedicated to empowering students and fostering their growth both in and out of the general education classroom. You'll have the opportunity to split your teaching time between pull-out instruction for individualized focus and push-in support within the general classroom environment. Paraprofessionals are available based on student IEP requirements, ensuring you're set up for student success each day. The daily schedule is structured for an 8-hour day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch, providing ample time for instruction, collaboration, and planning.
Qualifications:
Valid state Special Education Teacher certification or eligibility Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably at the 3rd-grade level Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong communication and collaboration skills for work with students, families, and colleagues Ability to adapt instruction for learners with varied needs in both push-in and pull-out settings Comfortable utilizing paraprofessional support to align with individualized student needs
Key Responsibilities:
