Job Description

Description Applications are invited for a position as long term substitute (minimally 6 months) at OLA School for the 2026-2027 school year. First and foremost, our teachers support and give witness to the teachings of the Catholic faith through responsive and compassionate instruction, paying close attention to our students' spiritual and social emotional learning. Applicants must be willing to form close partnerships with parents, supporting and encouraging them in their role as primary educators. Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be proficient in the use and application of technology for instruction and learning. Applicants must be collaborative and willing to work with colleagues from TK-8, and work especially closely grade level teams in developing and maintaining the continuum of learning. Requirements Applicants should submit a resume and a letter of application indicating their strengths and experience, and explain how they will to contribute to our vibrant and highly successful school to OLA Principal, Bernadette Boyle, at ms.boyle@ola-ca.org Names and contact information for referees are required as well as: Be a Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church BA/BS degree (minimum) Valid Teaching Credential Minimum two years' experience working with elementary school age children MA/MS preferred Catechetical Certification (or in process) VIRTUS Certification and Fingerprinting through ADLA Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
