SUMMARY OF POSITION
Lake Mary Preparatory School seeks a reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about working with students. You will be responsible for executing prepared lesson plans, managing student behavior, and upholding the school's standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide support in the classroom when there is an absence Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the hallways, cafeteria, and outdoors Adhere to the lesson plans provided to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience Take attendance and leave detailed end-of-day notes Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment Provide feedback to students and the designated faculty member Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising administrator
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
High School Diploma required. Currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Education (or equivalent) strongly preferred Previous experience working with children a plus Must be detail-oriented and able to follow written as well as verbal instructions Dependability and adaptability are a must Strong organizational skills
