Substitute Teachers:

Individuals serving as substitute teachers shall be licensed teachers except as hereinafter provided. If licensed teachers are not available, non-licensed staff may be employed under the conditions set below. a Bachelor's Degree or higher MA DESE Licensure, preferred but not required completed application process via SchoolSpring completed hiring process via FPS Human Resources completed on-boarding process via FPS Human Resources clearance of all reference checks via FPS Human Resources In addition to these requirements, a current CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) must be completed every year as well as a Fingerprint Background Check. Please contact Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) if you would like to begin the process of becoming licensed at: http://www.doe.mass.edu/licensure/academic-prek12/

HOURS:

Substitutes at minimum must arrive 10 minutes before the school day begins for students and remain 10 min after school day concludes. For school hours please see individual schools listed below: Falmouth High School 7:22am•2:03pm Lawrence School 8:15am•2:45pm Morse Pond School 8:25am-2:50pm

All Elementary Schools:

9:05am•3:30pm

Mullen Hall Elementary School North Falmouth Elementary School East Falmouth Elementary School Teaticket Elementary School SALARY:

$135 per day for on call, day-to-day substitutes ($175 if actively licensed in MA) Short term substitutes (working over 20 consecutive days in the same assignment) qualify for $180/day from day 1 of assignment ($342.99/day if actively licensed in MA). If a licensed sub remains in the same position for 90 consecutive days, they will be moved onto the Unit A salary scale on day 91. Initial licenses issued more than five years ago will not be considered actively licensed for the purposes of this pay schedule.
