First Steps Early Learning Day Care Academy LLC in Middletown, NY is looking for 2-4 dependable, energetic and caring Substitute Teachers/Teacher Assistants to join our team. This is a great opportunity for Early Childhood Education students, retired teachers, former childcare professionals, or individuals looking for flexible part-time work. Flexible/on-call schedule Monday-Friday availability Infant, Toddler and Preschool classrooms Opportunity for additional/permanent hours Early Childhood Education students encouraged to apply Childcare experience preferred Must be dependable and able to work as part of a team Must meet all applicable

Pay:
Up to $20.00 per hour based on education, experience and qualifications. Immediate openings available. Duties Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or adapt to the classroom needs with prepared instructional materials Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment Organize classroom activities that promote student engagement, including creative writing, literacy exercises, and hands-on projects Support students with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities or autism, ensuring inclusive participation Implement curriculum development strategies aligned with educational standards and individual student needs Maintain clear communication with students, staff, and parents regarding classroom activities and student progress Ensure proper childcare practices are followed, fostering positive relationships and supporting childhood development This dynamic role invites motivated individuals who thrive in flexible environments to inspire students daily.
