CLASSROOM AIDE

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Experience with Young Children preferred Bilingual Language abilities, English/Spanish, a plus

Responsibilities/Duties:

Work as a part of a team to assist in carrying out educational activities in the classroom setting. This position works with the lead Teacher and Associate Teacher as a 3rd person support in the classroom. Implement educational activities by providing and maintaining an atmosphere in the classroom that promotes school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices for 3 and 4-year old children. Terms of Employment Conditions of Employment Luzerne County Head Start requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) per state/federal regulations. Proof of education required to meet the qualifications for position. • June annually with an established summer break between school years.

Rate of Pay:

$14.65/hr. For those who possess Bilingual Abilities (Eng/Spanish)

• 5% additional pay $500 Sign-On Bonus!
