$20.00 per hour, up to 29 hours per week Job Summary Reporting to the Director of High School Programs, the Dual Enrollment Substitute Teacher serves in various local high schools in the emergency or planned absence of a Northeast State Dual Enrollment Instructor. They follow provided lesson plans and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Job Duties
Serve as a substitute teacher in various high schools in the emergency or planned absence of a Northeast State Dual Enrollment Instructor.
Upon arrival at the high school, report to the Main Office and check-in to complete required sign-in process (state issued ID may be required).
Take attendance and submit to designated school official.
Follow the lesson plans as provided by the High School Programs Office and Northeast State's faculty member.
Establish and maintain order in the classroom.
Maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment and facilities.
Prior to leaving the high school, report to the Main Office and check-out to complete required sign-out procedures.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervision Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution
Experience working with high school or college students Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited institution
Conversational ability or fluency in a second language Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Technology Skills:
MS Office suite; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems
