Substitute Teacher

Job Description

The School District of Lodi is looking for energetic and caring substitute teachers to work in all grade levels with students of all abilities. $150/day ($165/day after 25 days of subbing per school year)
Job Duties:
Set proper tone for students and maintain a well-run classroom. Safety of students is a primary goal. Follow and carry out regular teacher's lesson plans ensuring consistency with teacher's long-term goals for classroom learning. Encourage all students of all ability levels to participate and learn. Maintain a positive learning environment. Supervise students at all times including while in hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and on field trips. Maintain complete confidentiality of student and staff information.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree or associate degree in any subject plus DPI teacher license or substitute permit, OR ability to obtain DPI license/permit. Ability to establish quick rapport with students. Flexibility is a must. A desire to work with Lodi students and staff.
Note:
We use Frontline Technology substitute software which allows substitutes to control their own work schedule and be notified of available jobs. An app is available. Substitutes may be included in staff training and professional development as well as other school events. Successful candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, background check, drug test, and TB screening. The School District of Lodi is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
