Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Substitute Teacher to step into classrooms across various grade levels and subject areas, ensuring a seamless continuation of student learning and engagement. As a Substitute Teacher, you will provide essential instructional support by implementing lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and fostering a positive learning environment. The position is paid and ideal for individuals passionate about education, child development, and supporting learners with unique needs. Responsibilities Deliver instruction based on prepared lesson plans across different subjects, including literacy, math, science, and social studies. Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities or developmental challenges such as autism. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. Organize classroom activities that promote student engagement, creativity, and critical thinking. Support students' social-emotional development through positive mentoring and behavior management strategies. Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions between lessons and maintain consistent classroom routines. Assist with special education programs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and supporting inclusive classroom practices. Communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents when necessary to promote understanding and cooperation. Qualifications Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or K-12 settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of curriculum development, curriculum implementation, and lesson planning techniques. Experience working with children with disabilities or developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to organize activities and maintain discipline effectively. Familiarity with behavior management strategies and instructional adaptability to meet diverse student needs. Excellent communication skills to engage students actively and collaborate with colleagues. Background in literacy education, creative writing, Montessori methods or other specialized teaching approaches is a plus. Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and childcare best practices. Pay:
