Length of Work Year 9.5 months per year / 17.5 hours per week Employment Type Part Time Education Requirement Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience Experience working or volunteering in a classroom environment preferred. Additional Requirement Pass a District proficiency test in English usage, language arts and mathematics, or pass California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), or have completed two years (60 semester units) of college. License Requirement Valid First Aid and CPR certificates as authorized by an American Heart Association or American Red Cross provider. Other Participation in CUSD staff development related to the job functions of a Paraeducator II, once employed. Salary Structure Our step advancement is designed for long-term growth; depending on your hire date, your first scheduled salary step increase may occur within your first 18 months of employment.
