This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, fostering communication, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. The instructor will work closely with clients to help them achieve their personal goals while maintaining safety and dignity. Responsibilities Assist individuals with disabilities in daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks. Support clients during medical appointments, shopping for groceries, and other community outings. Provide direct support tailored to each client's needs, including helping with communication and social interaction. Offer transportation assistance using personal transportation to ensure clients attend appointments and participate in community activities. Implement safety procedures, including administering first aid and CPR when necessary. Work with clients who have neurodevelopmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, or cognitive disabilities to promote skill development and independence. Maintain clear communication with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Foster a respectful, supportive environment that encourages client autonomy and confidence. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with disabilities. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Valid personal transportation assistance capabilities. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification. Compassionate attitude and patience when supporting individuals with diverse needs. Ability to adapt support strategies based on individual client requirements. Pay:
$17.50 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 per week
