Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Take the next step in your education career with rewarding paraeducator opportunities in an engaging school environment. As a contract paraprofessional, you'll provide valuable assistance to lead teachers and supervisors, supporting both individual students and groups in inclusive and special education settings. You will work closely with students who require additional support, helping implement specialized education plans and fostering an inclusive, productive learning atmosphere. This role involves a mix of 1:1 work as well as collaboration with classroom teams. The position may require assisting with personal care such as toileting, ensuring the well-being and dignity of every student.
Key Qualifications:
Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a directly related educational support role Parapro Certification, or an Associate's degree (or at least 60 college credits) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Empathy, adaptability, and a genuine desire to help students succeed Comfort and professionalism in assisting with toileting or personal care tasks when needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Work individually with students requiring specialized support, following education plans (PPT and IEP) Assist lead teachers in classroom activities and learning facilitation Supervise students to promote engagement, safety, and positive behavior Support academic, behavioral, and social needs under direct guidance from staff Maintain documentation and open communication with educators and supervisors This position offers a competitive hourly pay range of $18-$24, along with access to a benefits package.
