Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic ParaProfessional Educator to join our dynamic educational team. In this vital role, you will provide essential classroom support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and other special education requirements. You will collaborate closely with teachers and specialists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support students' social, emotional, and academic growth. Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers in delivering curriculum tailored to students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral needs Support students with disabilities by providing physical assistance, behavioral management, and communication support Implement lesson plans focused on literacy, math, and social skills for intemediate school children Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques aligned with best practices for students with special needs Collaborate with other professionals—including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and counselors—to develop and execute comprehensive student support strategies Support students during activities requiring physical assistance or sensory accommodations to ensure safety and engagement Maintain confidentiality of student information while documenting progress and incidents accurately in accordance with privacy policies Assist in creating an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners Qualifications Prior experience working with intermediate school students Familiarity with special education practices including behavior management for students with behavioral disorders or autism spectrum disorders Proficiency in communication skills—both written and verbal—and the ability to effectively collaborate with team members Experience supporting students with disabilities through classroom support roles Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining professional discretion Basic math skills for assisting with curriculum activities and student assessments Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive environment aligned with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards This paid position is designed for passionate individuals eager to support children's growth through engaging teaching practices, compassionate care, and collaborative teamwork. Pay:
