Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curricula tailored to diverse learning needs, including literacy education, math, physical education, and early childhood development. Design engaging lesson plans that promote active participation and foster a love of learning among children. Manage classroom environments effectively by establishing routines, setting clear expectations, and applying behavior management strategies to ensure a positive and productive atmosphere. Support children's social-emotional development through attentive childcare practices and child welfare initiatives. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services. Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain discipline while encouraging independence and cooperation among students. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to support each child's unique developmental journey through effective communication skills. Incorporate Montessori principles or other educational philosophies as appropriate to enhance learning experiences. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom experience, tutoring techniques, and early intervention strategies. Support extracurricular activities such as physical education or tutoring sessions that complement core curriculum goals. Experience Proven experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare centers, preschools, private schools, or similar environments. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across early childhood education topics including literacy education, math, and physical education. Experience managing classrooms with diverse learners, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Familiarity with classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and engagement. Prior involvement in preschool or toddler care programs that emphasize childhood development principles. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education settings. Experience implementing Montessori methods or other specialized teaching approaches is a plus. Ability to adapt lessons for different age groups and developmental stages while maintaining a lively and motivating classroom atmosphere.
