Job Description
Ro Health is hiring qualified Paraprofessionals and Behavioral Aides to join our per diem substitute pool in Maywood and surrounding areas for the 2026-2027 school year! Our highest-paying opportunities will be offered to candidates with experience providing behavioral support in a school setting, specifically leveraging the implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), with students ranging in grade level from pre-K through high school. It is a great benefit if you have previous experience supporting students with special needs and have worked in a 1:1 or 1 capacity. This role is called a Behavioral Classroom Aide , sometimes also known as a Behavioral Technician. Why Ro Health? Schedule:
Monday-Friday, based on available substitute shifts and school needs Shift times: Vary by school and assignment
Compensation:
$20-$23/hour
Start:
ASAP As part of our substitute pool, providers can pick up available shifts at schools in the area based on their availability and the staffing needs of our partner schools. Our providers may be assigned to cases as either 1:1 supports or as a general classroom aide. As a 1:1 support: You would go to each class with your student to provide behavioral and educational support throughout the day. 1:1 supporters are responsible for helping ensure their student is on task and working toward their behavioral goals.
General classroom supports:
Providers assigned to work with a single teacher or classroom will support wherever they are needed most by the teacher. Typically, every day looks different in this position, and you may work with several different students throughout your shift. Qualifications At a minimum, candidates must have a Paraprofessional Endorsement from ISBE Previous experience working in a school setting required Minimum 6 months of experience in childcare Associate's degree preferred; High School Diploma required Experience working with students with high behavioral support needs Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred Strong assessment skills Passion for supporting students in the learning process Ability to work well in a team environment Candidates with at least 48 college credits are encouraged to apply! Psychology degrees are well suited for this role.
