REQUIREMENTS

Passion for working with children and helping them succeed Previous experience not required - training and certification will be provided in-house/off-site Ability to work in the water for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for longer periods of time Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide swim instructions based on the Blue Gems Swim School curriculum Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents Assess pre-lesson and post-lesson progress according to the swim level objectives provided, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner Check-in and organize students for proper class placement within the pool deck area, ensure students enter and exit class on-time as well as keep area clean, safe and organized for families. Place and remove lane lines, perform light cleaning duties around pool deck Present professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service Perform Lifeguard duties Complete accident/incident reports as necessary Perform various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility Assist with closing and securing the facility Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Are you currently Lifeguard certified? Are you able to work 3:30-8:00pm or 5:00-8:45pm during weekdays and one weekend day (morning/afternoon)?
