9681833-70001 Job Description Step into a meaningful contract role as a school paraprofessional, supporting students in classrooms with lower teacher-to-pupil ratios. You'll work closely with children who often have complex communication needs and may display challenging behaviors, including those associated with Autism or related disabilities. This full-time position follows the standard school calendar (Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week) and runs through May 27, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
Meet one of the following academic requirements: associate degree, successful completion of the ParaPro assessment with a minimum score of 450, or 48 semester credit hours Direct classroom experience is essential Ability to understand and implement IEPs Experience supporting students with Autism or similar behavioral needs is highly valued Preferred, but not required: CPI or de-escalation training, significant behavioral support background, and current CPR certification Willingness to complete required credentialing, including drug test, fingerprinting, and background check, per district policy
