Nature Based Assistant Preschool Teacher Part Time Turn Back Time Paxton, MA Job Details Part-time $18 - $20 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Professional development assistance Qualifications Outdoor work experience Full Job Description Position details: Turn Back Time is seeking an assistant teacher candidate for the 2026/2027 school year. The dates of employment are Sept through June. This is a school-year long salary position with the possibility of summer employment. Hours are Monday 8:45 a.m. -2:30 p.m. and Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Turn Back Time is a nonprofit with a mission to help individuals recognize nature's ability to teach and heal. Our preschool program is licensed by the EEC and runs from September to June in all weather conditions. We are an inclusive program known for supporting children with challenging behaviors and giving them an educational/social/recreational experience with their peers that they may not be able to have otherwise. We are a cross between a forest kindergarten, a nature preschool and a farm education program. As a general rule we spend more than 75% of our day outside. Turn Back Time sees unstructured outdoor play as its main vehicle for teaching. Preschool Assistant teaching duties include but are not limited to : Helps to implement curriculum activities based on themes and provides opportunities to connect to curriculum. Supports overseeing daily tasks and stations within the learning environment to ensure safety and flow. Helps identify and documents learning goals for each child. Helps to implement strategies for behavior management. Helps to complete class progress reports Posts to Brightwheel on a regular basis. Fills our incident reports as necessary.
Additional requirements:
Minimum EEC teacher Qualifications and a suitable BRC (Background Records Check) with the EEC. Must be resilient, comfortable with being outdoors in all weather majority of day.
