Job Summary Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Full-time or Part-time Preschool/Toddler Assistant Teacher! In this rewarding role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. The ideal candidate should be available to work five days per week on a consistent schedule. Full-time hours would typically be 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. or 9:30am to 5:30pm, while part-time schedules could be 1:00-6:00 p.m. or 3:00-6:00 p.m. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with Montessori philosophy. Supervise and engage with children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure their safety and well-being. Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily activities to foster strong relationships. Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws for any concerns or incidents. Help facilitate inclusive activities tailored for children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support. Maintain accurate attendance records and assist with classroom setup and cleanup to ensure a smooth daily routine. Skills Prior experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively through positive guidance techniques.
