Temporary Extra-Curricular Instructional Assistant Position Summary The Extra-Curricular Instructional Assistant will provide support and supervision to students participating in an after-school club. The individual will help ensure students have a safe, positive, and inclusive experience while participating in the activity. This role will end once the club concludes for the year. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or successful completion of the WorkKeys Assessment. Experience working with children or students with disabilities. Responsibilities Supervise students participating in the after-school club. Monitor student behavior and provide appropriate redirection and reminders when needed. Support students in following club expectations, school rules, and established routines. Encourage positive social interactions and appropriate participation. Assist students with disabilities in accessing and participating in the club activity as appropriate. Provide support and encouragement to promote student independence. Communicate concerns regarding student behavior, safety, or support needs to the appropriate staff member. Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all students. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information. Follow district and building procedures related to student supervision and safety. Perform other duties as assigned.
