Job Description
Hastings Area School System Job Posting:
31a At-Risk Paraprofessional (Semester Grant-Funded)
Location:
Hastings High School Hours:
6.75 hours per day
Starting Pay:
$17.99 Hastings Area Schools is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support at-risk students through the 31a program. This semester, a grant-funded position provides targeted academic and behavioral support to help students succeed in the classroom and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities Could Include:
Work directly with at-risk students to support learning and engagement Assist classroom teachers with differentiated instruction and interventions Support positive behavior management and reinforce school expectations Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff Support small group or individual instruction as needed, assist with test reading Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that promote student success
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or education coursework preferred Experience working with students in an academic or support role Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Duration:
Semester (grant-funded)
Application Instructions:
Applicants will be assigned to a building based on district needs and must be willing to accept placement at any building. This position is guaranteed for one semester; continuation beyond that is dependent upon available funding.
