Job Description

Classroom Assistant Leelanau Montessori Public School Academy is seeking a compassionate, positive, and growth-minded Classroom Assistant to join our collaborative team of educators. We are looking for someone who is passionate about children, enjoys working as part of a team, and is committed to creating a peaceful, engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. As a Classroom Assistant, you will work alongside a Lead Guide to support the daily rhythm of the classroom, foster children's independence, and help cultivate a warm, respectful community grounded in Montessori principles. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, grow professionally, and become part of a school dedicated to the whole child. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree or higher (or equivalent experience working with children) Experience working with young children in an educational, childcare, or related setting Understanding of child development and positive classroom management practices Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills A patient, flexible, and joyful approach to working with children A growth mindset and willingness to learn Interest in pursuing Montessori training and professional development We are seeking someone who believes children are capable, curious, and deserving of an environment that nurtures independence, respect, and a lifelong love of learning.
Pay:
$22.51 - $27.11 per hour
