This full-time, full school year contract entails 32.5 hours per week, working directly with a female middle school student who has significant disabilities and is non-verbal. The classroom fosters collaboration and mutual support, ensuring every paraprofessional has the guidance needed for challenging moments.

Key Qualifications:

Paraprofessional skills with experience in school-based settings preferred Possession of Paraprofessional Test Certification, or proof of completion of two years (60 semester/90 quarter hours) post-secondary coursework or a college degree Ability and willingness to assist with toileting, lifting, and feeding duties Prior experience or comfort working with students who may have significant behavioral or physical support needs Female candidates preferred for personal care duties Patient, compassionate, and understanding demeanor required Willingness to attend an in-person interview

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to a middle school student throughout the school day Support the students personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and transferring/lifting as appropriate Assist with behavioral interventions and maintain a calm, safe environment Work collaboratively with classroom staff and special education professionals Encourage student engagement, communication, and independence where possible This contract opportunity offers a supportive work environment and the chance to make a genuine difference every day.
