Position Summary The Teacher Assistant/Aide supports the Teacher and Director in providing a safe, caring, and developmentally appropriate classroom experience. The role assists with classroom routines, learning activities, supervision, materials, hygiene, communication, and documentation while helping children transition successfully through the day. Teacher Assistants are expected to be active participants in the classroom, work collaboratively with the teaching team, and remain flexible as classroom and staffing needs change. Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Teacher in implementing curriculum, classroom routines, and developmentally appropriate learning activities.
  • Actively supervise and engage children while maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Use positive modeling and developmentally appropriate guidance to support children's behavior, independence, self-help skills, and hygiene.
  • Assist with classroom materials, transitions, meals, rest periods, and other daily care routines as assigned.
  • Observe children, support required documentation, and share relevant information with the Teacher and Director.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with families, coworkers, and leadership, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Follow center policies, required procedures, applicable state licensing standards, and assigned training or professional development expectations. Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and remain calm, productive, and child-focused in a busy classroom environment.
  • Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and adapt to new methods, routines, and classroom needs. Preferred Background
  • One to two years of professional child care experience, preferably in a licensed center-based setting.
  • Experience supporting infant, toddler, or preschool classrooms.
  • Demonstrated employment stability and a record of dependable attendance and follow-through. What Success Looks Like at Radiant Faith

  • Successful completion of required background screening and drug screening.
  • Current or successfully completed infant/child CPR and First Aid certification, as required for the role.
  • Successful TB screening and physical examination.
  • Compliance with center policies, applicable licensing requirements, and required training or professional development.
Physical Requirements This position requires regular movement throughout the classroom and center, including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working at children's level. The employee must be able to use hands and fingers to handle classroom materials and equipment, communicate effectively with children and adults, hear voices at varying levels, and visually monitor children and the classroom environment. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
