The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and possess a passion for special education. This position is a Monday

• Friday position with children in a classroom setting in the Francestown Elementary School .

Duties:

• Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Support students in various educational settings, including classrooms and one-on-one sessions
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure student success
• Collaborate with teachers in curriculum development and lesson planning
• Provide support in early childhood education programs
• Assist students in math and other subject areas as needed
• Work in private school settings to enhance the learning experience for students

Skills:

• Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities
• Knowledge of special education practices and principles
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents
• Familiarity with Montessori or similar educational approaches
• Ability to educate and support students in various subject areas
• Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson implementation
• 2 years experience of working as a paraprofessional and/or special education students in a classroom setting
