Director of Special Education Job Goal:
To assist in the smooth operation of the Special Education department, which allows the department to serve students & families more effectively Pay range: $18-$25 hourly Performance Responsibilities Submit Central Office work orders as needed Maintain confidentiality of the personal and educational information of the Special Education Department, students and staff and FM District. Keep office equipment in good working order. Distribute incoming and outgoing mail Send and receive paperwork from special education teachers across the district; scanning and sending confidential paperwork in a timely manner to parents and special education team members Ordering and overseeing all supplies that are bought from the general budget Working with staff in the receiving of requests; obtaining director's signature for approval; order supplies and then coordinate distribution of supplies Maintain adequate supplies and forms for special education office use. Filing (and scanning) all special education paperwork: Access and maintain central office student files for pertinent or requested information keep file room organized; move files around as needed managing discharged files managing all requests for special education records (other schools, students who have graduated and now want their records, social security office requests) Managing / Updating our department webpage Assisting department secretary with Medicaid paperwork
