Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting student growth and development as a 1:1 Paraeducator. In this contract position, you'll work closely with a 4th-grade female student, helping her build independence while maintaining a firm and structured classroom environment. The role is available as either part-time (Monday-Wednesday) or full-time (Monday-Friday, with travel between two sites), providing flexibility as you make a positive impact during the upcoming school year.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
High School Diploma required; Paraeducator Certification, Associate Degree, or successful Praxis exam highly valued Proven experience supporting students 1:1, particularly with strong behavior management needs Ability to maintain clear boundaries through a structured, authoritative, and supportive approach Strong communication skills and adaptability within elementary school settings
Key Responsibilities:
Provide focused, direct support to one 4th-grade student, adapting strategies to encourage her independence Consistently implement a structured routine and reinforce behavioral expectations Collaborate with teaching staff and specialists to align support to academic and social goals Travel between two school sites may be required for the full-time role Maintain detailed records to track student progress and communicate effectively with the educational team This position offers the chance to shape a student's future, working alongside dedicated professionals in an engaging, supportive environment.
