Job Description

Rivendell Academy seeks a caring and knowledgeable special education paraeducator to work with students in grades 6-12th supporting specially designed instruction in basic academic skills such as reading, writing, and math, as well as instruction in social, emotional, and behavioral skills. This position serves students with any type of educational disability identification.

The special education paraeducator must have a high level of patience, empathy, and positivity for working with students with any type of disability. Paraeducators must work collaboratively with staff and administration, on behalf of students. The special education paraeducator must work effectively as a team, and demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills. Organizational skills are essential.

Must meet Highly Qualified Paraeducator status, or is eligible, through completion of an Associate's Degree (or higher), acquired 60 college credits, passing score on the PRAXIS ParaPro Assessment, or completion of Title I training modules.

$19 to $22 Per Hour
