Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school setting near Portsmouth, NH. Enthusiastic and caring individuals are needed for five open paraprofessional roles, with both 1:1 assignments and classroom support positions available. It's a chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of middle and high school students while working alongside dedicated educators. Successful candidates will have school-related experience, but the primary requirement is a high school diploma—no additional certifications or higher degrees are necessary. The district values reliability and professionalism, so you'll need to provide three completed references, including your most recent manager, prior to interviewing. What you'll bring: Proof of high school diploma (minimum educational requirement) Experience working within schools or with children preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to follow teacher directives and support individual student needs Dependability and a positive, patient attitude Readiness to work middle school hours (7:10am-2:10pm) or high school hours (7:30am-2:30pm), including a 30-minute unpaid lunch In this role, you will: Assist teachers in classroom management and student engagement Provide 1:1 support for students with individualized needs Help implement lesson plans and instructional activities Foster a safe and encouraging learning environment Monitor student progress and report observations as needed Assignments begin as soon as possible and run through mid-June 2027, offering stability for those seeking a meaningful long-term commitment in education.
