Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Infant Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners during their most formative years. In this paid position, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants. Your role is vital in fostering early childhood growth, ensuring each child's needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Duties Assist in supervising and caring for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support the implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote infant development and curiosity Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment following health and safety standards Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, routines, and any concerns Follow established protocols for diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and social interaction among infants Assist with documentation of developmental milestones and daily observations for individual children Requirements Prior experience working with infants or in a childcare setting such as daycare or preschool is highly preferred Knowledge of child development principles specific to infants and toddlers Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training encouraged Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus Ability to follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and compliance with legal requirements Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within the classroom Demonstrated patience, nurturing qualities, and enthusiasm for early childhood education This role offers an exciting chance to contribute meaningfully to children's early learning experiences while developing your skills in a supportive environment.
