Teacher's Assistant for

Preschool Montessori Classroom:

Year-round position Are you a calm, friendly, responsible person who loves being with children? We are hiring! Our Preschool Teacher's Assistant works closely with trained Montessori Head Teachers to provide a caring, nurturing learning environment for children from ages 3 to 5. The Teacher's Assistant helps children develop independence and discover their own abilities. Responsibilities include safely and competently supervising children at all times, including during indoor and outdoor play, nap time, and transitions. You'll be assisting children with activities of daily living (eating, toileting, dressing, falling asleep at nap) choosing activities, and putting their thing away when finished, comforting children, reading stories, singing songs, helping to keep the classroom environment tidy, helping the children as they gain independence in the classroom, participating by singing during circle time, interacting with parents, and being part of a team of teachers. A gentle nature and previous experience working with children in a professional setting is required for the Preschool Teacher's Assistant. Are you a patient, kind, and compassionate person? Qualifications:

One year of previous experience working with children three, four, or five years old in a licensed child care or preschool school setting.
