Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Teacher Aide to join our educational team! In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers in creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love for learning among young learners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education and special education settings. Responsibilities Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities, including setting up learning materials and supporting lesson delivery. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, especially those with disabilities or special needs such as autism or learning challenges. Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior. Implement behavior management strategies aligned with classroom policies to promote respectful and productive conduct. Support students' social-emotional development through mentoring, encouragement, and positive reinforcement. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment by managing supplies and educational materials. Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences in accordance with curriculum standards. Assist in implementing educational compliance standards such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) to ensure equitable access to quality education. Support teachers in documenting student progress, proofreading assignments, and preparing instructional materials as needed. Requirements Previous experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development, literacy education, math fundamentals, and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, including autism spectrum disorder. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to supervise children effectively while maintaining a safe environment. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff members. Understanding of educational regulations and compliance standards such as ESSA requirements. Proficiency with computers and educational technologies to support classroom activities is desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators committed to student success.
