Job Description
Come join us for a rewarding career in daycare. This is a part-time, 12 months a year position with a group of wonderful children. We need our new Assistant Teachers to work around the hours of 2:00 PM
6:00 PM, but may differ depending on location.
This position is perfect for staff who are nurturing, energetic, reliable and especially passionate about the growth and development of young children. This role encourages children to discover the world through play and provide a warm and safe environment to develop and reach age-appropriate milestones. At the Country Childrens Center, you will work alongside a talented team of educators in a supportive environment where you are encouraged to grow in your field and share your passion for early childhood education. As an Assistant Teacher, you will have the opportunity to:
Engage the children in activities that are developmentally appropriate and support the goal and developmental level of each child.
Work in partnership with families
Work together with other staff for room clean-up and maintence of a clean and germ-free classroom (sweeping, mopping, table bleaching, toy washing)
Take an active role in suggesting new ideas, solutions and activities
Qualifications:
Be a collaborative and supportive team member.
Flexible with a positive attitude to work in different classrooms as needed.
1-2 years experience caring for young children.
Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is required to sit and climb or balance.
Ability to adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures while supervising and caring for children.
Comfortable with technology and desire for professional growth.
