Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience for young children. This role involves working closely with students in early childhood education settings, including preschools, daycare centers, and special education programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for child development and a strong commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities aligned with developmental goals Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment Support behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being Provide basic caregiving duties such as diapering, feeding, and supervising nap times for infants and toddlers Assist in documenting children's progress and communicating with parents about their child's development Implement safety procedures including first aid when necessary and ensure compliance with health regulations Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting is highly desirable Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Familiarity with special education needs or working with children with disabilities is a plus Childcare certifications such as first aid or CPR are beneficial but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed Hands-on experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children through nannying or babysitting roles is advantageous Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and collaborate well within a team environment This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children's lives while developing your skills in early childhood education. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
