Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster early childhood development, promote positive behavior, and ensure each child's individual needs are met with care and professionalism. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and transitions to ensure safety at all times Support children with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene while adhering to health and safety standards including pediatric first aid and CPR protocols Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and independence among children Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to build strong partnerships Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports learning and development Follow mandated reporting laws for child safety concerns and document incidents accurately Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, or childcare setting is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong classroom management skills and ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating patience and compassion Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety is desirable Join us in creating a warm, supportive space where children can thrive!
