We are looking for a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher Assistain to join our team and help create a joyful, play-based learning environment for children ages 2 to 5. Be part of a respected, long-standing early childhood program with deep roots in the Westchester community Work alongside experienced, supportive lead teachers and administrators committed to your success Ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities Safe, well-equipped classrooms and age-appropriate learning environments Enjoy a warm, collaborative team culture built on respect, teamwork, and genuine care for children and families Make a meaningful, lasting impact during children's most formative years What You'll Do Work under the supervision of the classroom lead teacher to create a safe, warm, and caring educational environment Engage children in play, art, music, stories, outdoor activities, and hands-on learning Assist with daily routines, transitions, snack/lunch, and classroom cleanup Assist in keeping classroom and program supplies ready and well maintained Supervise children closely to maintain a safe classroom and playground environment Assist with record-keeping Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events Follow all school policies, health and safety procedures, and NY State/OCFS licensing requirements This Role May Be a Great Fit If You Are Interested in starting a career in Early Childhood Education Currently studying Education, Psychology, or Child Development A babysitter, nanny, camp counselor, or after-school program staff member Returning to the workforce after caring for family Simply passionate about helping young children learn and grow Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Candidates currently working toward a CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field are preferred A genuine love of working with young children — patient, kind, energetic, and dependable Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team Previous experience with preschool-aged, camp, or child-focused settings preferred Must meet all applicable NY OCFS background check and licensing requirements
Pay & Benefits Pay:
$19.00-$21.00 per hour based on experience
Paid Time Off Job Details Job Type:
10-month position (September-June), Part-time, with the option to work summer camp

8:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
