A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Behavioral Technician to work in a vibrant school environment for the 2026/2027 academic year. This essential role focuses on assisting individual students who require behavioral and learning support, ensuring they receive the attention and care they need to thrive. Position dates run from August 25, 2026, through June 4, 2027, and the position starts as soon as possible to provide continuity of care for a dedicated student. The site is conveniently located near Lansdale, PA, with the assigned student attending a school near Media, PA.
Key Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavioral Technician in a school setting. Strong understanding of behavioral intervention strategies and positive behavior supports. Ability to work one-on-one with students who require behavioral or emotional assistance. Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills with teachers, staff, and families. Flexibility to adapt to varied student needs and changing situations within a classroom environment. Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and fostering a supportive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support for a student with behavioral needs throughout the school day. Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of educational professionals. Assist in academic tasks, social skills development, and daily classroom routines. Collaborate closely with teachers, school specialists, and parents for cohesive support. Track student progress and document interventions, successes, and challenges. Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
