Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Assistant Teacher/Floater to support classroom activities across our early childhood programs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic daycare setting, working with children from infancy through preschool. As a vital team member, you will assist lead teachers, ensure a safe and nurturing environment, and help foster joyful learning experiences. Duties Support classroom activities by assisting lead teachers with lesson implementation and child supervision Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning, and developmental activities to promote growth and curiosity Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and daily experiences Assist with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions Float between classrooms as needed to provide additional support during busy periods or staff absences Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is highly desirable Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and foster a nurturing environment Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and childhood development standards Join us in creating joyful learning moments while building your career in early childhood education!
