Job Description
THE POSITION
The Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Sexual Responsibility and Treatment Program Aide at Torrance State Hospital. This role places you at the center of essential treatment work where your focus and determination can shape real progress for residents. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the Sexual Responsibility and Treatment Program by assisting residents in daily routines, therapeutic activities, and safety procedures. As a Sexual Responsibility and Treatment Program Aide, you will perform the following duties:
Resident Support:
Guide residents in daily living skills and therapeutic activities based on individualized treatment plans
Behavior Monitoring:
Observe residents for behavioral changes and report findings to treatment staff
Safety Checks:
Conduct searches, monitor visiting areas, and ensure secure conditions on the unit
Documentation:
Record resident behavior, incidents, attendance, and treatment progress
Team Collaboration:
Assist professional staff with treatment plans and participate during meetings
Escort Duties:
Escort residents to appointments, activities, and designated areas throughout the facility Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a rotating schedule, weekends, and holidays as assigned.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Psychiatric or Therapeutic Activities Aide (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Eighteen (18) months of experience in the care, activities and personal guidance of individuals in a behavioral, educational or community-based program.
Other Requirements:

Legal Requirements:
