Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 3:35 PM Position Overview We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) / Paraprofessionals to support students with diverse academic, behavioral, developmental, and personal care needs. This role involves working closely with educators and support staff to help students access their educational program and achieve success throughout the school day. The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and comfortable providing both instructional and personal care support as needed. The PCA/Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers, administrators, therapists, and support staff to provide academic, behavioral, social, and personal care assistance throughout the school day. Candidates must be comfortable providing hands-on support to students with varying levels of needs. Essential Responsibilities Provide one-to-one or small group support to students throughout the school day Assist students with academic activities and classroom participation Support students with emotional, behavioral, communication, and social needs Implement behavior support plans and classroom strategies as directed by district staff Assist students during transitions, specials, lunch, recess, and school activities Support students in Emotional Support, Autism Support, and Life Skills programs Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) Provide feeding assistance during meals and snacks Assist with toileting, changing, diapering, and hygiene needs as required Ensure student safety and engagement throughout the school day Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, administrators, and support staff Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Previous experience working with children preferred Experience supporting students with special needs strongly preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain patient, flexible, and professional in challenging situations Comfortable providing personal care support, including: Feeding assistance Toileting support Diapering/changing Hygiene assistance Behavioral support and intervention #education Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available to qualified candidates who meet eligibility requirements.
