Job Description

We have paraprofessional openings at our classroom location in the Webster (up to 2 openings) Northeast Educational Service Cooperative (NESC) is looking for a dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to join our self-contained classroom, supporting students with high needs. This is more than a job — it's a chance to be part of a team that works together to help every student grow, succeed, and feel supported. What You'll Do Work alongside our teacher and support staff to provide one-on-one and small-group assistance to students with significant intellectual, developmental, physical, and/or behavioral needs Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior support plans Assist with daily living skills, communication, mobility, and personal care as needed Support students during academic instruction, therapies, transitions, and community outings Collaborate closely with teachers, related service providers (OT, PT, speech), and families to ensure consistency of care Help create a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment where students can thrive What We're Looking For A team player who communicates well and pitches in wherever needed Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a difference in students' lives Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required — we provide training!
