Job Description
The Program Assistant II is responsible to the County Extension Director and works under the direction of the lead 4-H Youth Development Agent to implement approved educational programs in group settings to youth audiences in the area of 4-H Youth Development and other program areas. This position will assist with conducting educational programs and maintaining program records. This position will plan, execute and evaluate 4-H educational programs under the direction of the 4-H Youth Development Agent and for other program areas under the County Director. This position is partly funded by the county. Required Qualifications High School diploma, GED or equivalent Two to three years of related experience desired Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment-based visa status. In cooperation with Tennessee State University, UT Extension works with farmers, families, youth and communities, to improve lives by addressing problems and issues at the local, state and national levels. Collaborate effectively with community and state-level partners to implement specific program components of 4-H Youth Development Program. Assist in the delivery and maintenance of the 4-H Youth Development Program in the county. Maintain and grow positive partnerships with local organizations, vendors, agencies, and general public in support of the 4-H Youth Development Program. Assist with Ag & Natural Resource and Family and Family & Consumer Science programs as needed. Assist with community needs assessments and evaluation requirements as needed. Provide leadership for a program of activities that meets the needs of all eligible clientele regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion or veteran status. Assume other duties as assigned. Be responsible for up to 40 hours per week.
